Game Content Developers
We are currently looking for Game Content Developers, to be able to work as a crossover Design/Programming role to create (design and script) for our product solution. Applicants have some industry experience working as a designer, whether that is professional experience, an internship as part of a degree course or working are preferred. We are looking for passionate gamers with a methodical approach, strong creative and artistic skills and deep motivation to create games, and execution ability, who can cope with the thrilling challenges of a development environment releasing new game elements almost every week.
Key duties include:
- Capable of leading the game development team and perform multi tasking.
- Create new game element ideas (quests, mini-games, skills, monsters etc.) based on pre-defined expectations for the game.
- Use our internal scripting language/game engine to write high quality game contents.
- Work together with graphic artists, testers and other professionals to produce the best possible content.
- Communicate complex creative ideas in a clear and concise manner. Participate in large scale design decisions to establish the future of the game.
Requirements:
- Good programming or game scripting skills (basic C++ or Java or game scripting).
- Good creative writing skills and imaginative storyline ideas.
- Clear understanding of game design terminology and realistic game design ideas.
- Very strong and proven communication skills.
- Experience of working to deadlines and/or in project based environment. Keen interest in role playing games.
Also useful:
- Game industry experience preferably in creative, game design or scripting roles.
- A computer science degree is a plus but isn't essential if good programming and/or scripting skills can be demonstrated

Balance the innovative engineering design, functional requirements and aesthetic appeal for Portege products that are for mass manufacture. The work involves either designing, modelling, testing and producing prototypes of brand new products, or making improvements to existing products. The role demands in-depth knowledge and understanding of materials, production processes, market research and commercial awareness. Job titles can vary: as well as industrial/ product designer you are likely to come across 'CAD designer' or 'design engineer.'
Typical work activities
- Communicate with electronic, mechanical engineers to establish the design brief, including the concept, performance and production criteria;
- brainstorming as part of a team or developing design concepts using CAD (computer-aided design);
- taking part in specialist or multidisciplinary team meetings;
- sketching initial design ideas;
- identifying the suitability and availability of materials;
- producing detailed, final hand drawings and specifications or, more likely, using dedicated computer software (CAD) to produce design specifications, including parts lists and costings;
- making samples or working models by hand or using computerised prototyping equipment;
- testing the design concept by computerised modelling or physical hands-on testing of models;
- problem-solving and finding solutions to sometimes complex electro-mechanical problems;
- researching materials, processes or market requirements;
- arranging meetings and liaising with engineers and other departments, including marketing, to discuss and negotiate appropriate production processes, costs and commercial issues;
- occasionally meeting for clients' production facilities and evaluating the feasibility of production;
- making presentations to senior design management or clients, either when bidding for a contract or to present design proposals
